In this episode,  Sunshine☀️Cafe, is proud to be participating in the global effort organized by the Podcasthon, a podcast charity initiative aimed at raising awareness and funds for charitable causes. This year, our charity of choice will focus on Samaritan's Purse, a trusted organization that provides disaster relief around the United States and worldwide, serving in Jesus’ name. 

In this special episode, Lisa shares a little backstory on Samaritan’s Purse, while highlighting some inspiring stories of Samaritan's Purse's impact, including responses to Hurricane Helene and the wildfires in California. Samaritan's Purse’s commitment to helping people in Jesus’ name, serves as a reminder that even in the face of tragedy, hope and encouragement can make a profound difference.

  6. How to Get Involved: There are three key ways to support Samaritan’s Purse:
    1. Volunteer: Lend your time at disaster relief site or check the website at www.SPVolunteer.org to find out how you and your gifts can help others; consider organizing an Operation Christmas Child campaign in your community; or simply pack a few shoeboxes this year for the Operation Christmas Child campaign in your area.

    2. Pray: Pray for Samaritan's Purse and Those in Need
       One of the most powerful ways you can support Samaritan's Purse is through prayer. Be a prayer warrior on their behalf, asking God to continue guiding them and protecting those working in the most dangerous and devastated areas of the world. Pray that God would open doors, allowing them access to places in great need.  And, please remember to pray for the ongoing recovery in Florida, California, and other parts of the country affected by storms and fires. The disaster may be over, but these communities face a long and difficult road ahead. Ask God to bless them with strength, healing, and the right people and opportunities to help them rebuild and find a sense of normalcy.
    3. Donate: Help Samaritan’s Purse and the work they are doing by donating to their disaster relief funds and ongoing projects. Truly, any way you choose to support will help to make a difference - and any donation large or small will help!
